SLC Punk!, James Merendino. 1998.
SLC Punk has some very 90s things that at moments makes it a little bit slow to watch, but despite that, it is a great film. Especially because of what it has to say about being rebellious, growing up & everything else that is important when you are a teenager living in a boring/too perfect place.
While I watched it, I couldn’t help but see myself as a teenager and the conclusion that it arrives to, it is the same one that I got to when I turned 20. ( I am trying hard not to put any spoilers so it is hard to write a proper review…).
Even though it is painful to watch at moments, it is also hilarious and it uses some 90s techniques that I love (montages, the fourth wall,etc.).
If you can be a little bit patient with it, I totally recommend it!
